Ans: Rishikesh is one of the renowned yoga training destinations in India.

Generally, students from different countries come to Rishikesh for Yoga Teacher Training from August to March. But November, December, January and February are the coldest months, the temperature gets down to 18°C to 30°C.

The regular schedule is changed in order to avoid the cold as much as possible. So instead of getting up at 5’o clock in the morning.

Students wake up around 6 am and starts first yogasana class at 7 am. Physical work out in first-class warms and energizes them to continue other classes for the whole day.

In human anatomy and yoga philosophy classes, students are provided extra blankets to sit on so that they are comfortable and they can pay attention to the teachers.

There are also room heaters to keep the classrooms warm.

The divine yoga school is very careful about changing the weather.

Especially in winter, we provide hot yogic tea twice a day and hot water facility is also available for a shower in each room.

In the evening, students come for a meditation class, covering themselves with blankets so that they can learn and practice meditation for the entire duration.

On Sunday, students get up late around 8 am and become ready for excursion activities to worth seeing places nearby Rishikesh in 40 km radius.

Most of the time, the weather in the afternoon is sunny so students enjoy visiting places.

How to reach Divine Yoga School, Rishikesh (India)
The School is on the other side of Laxman Jhula Bridge. Once you reach Laxman Jhula Taxi Stand, you need to cross Laxman Jhula Bridge. Then it is only 5 minutes walk to Divine Yoga School, Laxman Jhula, Rishikesh (Uttrakhand) Pin-249201.

  • From Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun :

When you come out of the airport on the main road, you may get public transport buses sooner or later or you can get auto for around Rs. 50 to 100, depending on the number of travelers. But the best way is to book a prepaid taxi from the prepaid taxi counter at Jolly Grant Airport.

The prepaid taxi charges are around 1200 INR (18 US$)

The taxi will take around 45 minutes to reach Rishikesh.

  • From Delhi (India):

 

  1. Taxi:

You can get a prepaid taxi right at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) Delhi. It would be pretty expensive around Rs. 6000 (95 US$) for you. If you are coming to attend a course or retreat at some school, they will arrange it for you for Rs. 4500 – Rs.5000. You can share this amount if some more students arrive at the same time.

The taxi will take around 6-7 hours to get to Rishikesh.

  1. Train:

From Indira Gandhi International Airport, you can reach to New Delhi Train Station by pre-booked Uber or Ola taxi. There are some trains to Hardwar and Rishikesh (depending on timings)

The trip will take you from 4 to 7 hours.

The tickets for the train will cost you from 150 to 1200 rupees, depending on the train and class of the carriage.

  1. Bus:

Being popular tourism, Rishikesh has a good network of buses. From the Airport Delhi, you can reach by Uber or Ola taxi to Kashmere Gate ISBT, New Delhi that has continuous bus services for Rishikesh every day. You can choose from a regular, deluxe or a luxurious coach from Rs. 500 to 1200.

A bus will take around 6 hours to reach Rishikesh.
